“Doggy” is an act of collective spontaneity recorded live in concert. It’s a psychedelic trip full of ups and downs, snow-capped mountain tops and plateaus, opened by a scene of the titans of the conventional world falling, filled with the singing of exotic birds and other tropical forest dwellers. Rare glimpses of bright sunlight are interrupted here by the disturbing and uneven steps of the broken mechanism.

Having recovered after a two-year hiatus the Moscow-based psychedelic noise-rockers Motherfathers are returning with a new line-up. This time it's a trio focused on the improvised music but the loudness and specific abandon that characterize their sound remain intact. This new album is a collaboration between Motherfathers and the improvisational one-man project Ь! represented by Dmitriy Syrtsov who takes his place behind the drum set. The original band members - Dmitriy Peitsch (guitar) and Maxim Elizarov (electronics) look at this release as a back to the roots album, a revival of their initial approach that formed the core of the band’s 2007 debut album “Kolchak!”.
